Vivi | Remembering

One thing I love and encourage all my clients to do is bring their dog(s) along for their session, or at least part of it. Pups are such an important part of the family, why leave them out? They greet us happily every time we walk in the door, or even in the room, they snuggle up to us when we’re down, they help our kids learn how to be gentle and learn responsibility and more importantly they love us. They love us all day, every day just for being there.

While I always love a mini-pup session, I think it’s even more important to have one when they are older, a little slower, and time is not on their side. Take 30 minutes to spend time with your pup and take home photos that you will have forever. ❤

Vivi-3Vivi-8Vivi-7Vivi-11Vivi-13They will love the time with you, and you will love the memories them.

This June I will joining up with a local business to offer mini-pup sessions. A portion of the proceeds with go to a local shelter. Details to come. xo

Remember how beautiful fall was? This family made it even better <3

Ahh fall! I LOVE the fall…except for the impending doom of winter, it’s right up there with August and picking tomatoes from the garden. The leaves this past fall were perfection, along with the light. Add in an easy-going, fun and very loving family and you have the perfect outdoor family session. Meet the Armstrongs – I look forward to our fall sessions every year. I think this year was my favorite ❤

Lifestyle Family Session | At Home

I did it. I logged back into my blog after…wait for it…a YEAR! Ugh, I swore I wouldn’t abandon my blog after rebuilding it. And then came Olive. My beautiful little girl who has completed our family ❤ However, she was not what I would call a good sleeper. For the ENTIRE first year! And so at the end of the day, when the kids were in bed and I was supposed to jump on my computer to keep up with my blog…I went to bed instead. Or laid on the couch and watched cooking shows, or read my book. I was tired, oh so tired. And my blog went ignored.

I’m happy to report that Olive is now sleeping through the night (and getting better at naps), and I am kind of getting better at organizing my time. So here I am again, more awake than before, promising not to ignore my blog this year 🙂  I’ll be updating it with  last years sessions to make up for lost time.

I’m SO excited to share this session with you all! My friends Jen and Bob are expecting baby #3 and wanted to have a relaxed at-home session of their family of 4 before it became a family of 5. I loved this idea! At home sessions capture the every day moments that you don’t want to forget, the fun activities that you want recorded with you IN the photos and is just a nice way to have some family time that you can print out for your album.

Spryn-13We baked cookies, played in the soon-to-be baby’s room, did some cuddling on the couch and of course playing, laughing and swooning over mama’s beautiful belly along the way.

Beach Lovin’ Family

This family session was such a great surprise!  Amy’s daughter was in town and at the last minute they decided to have family photos taken.  I was thrilled to venture down to their beach house on the lake to play in the sand 🙂  I’ve never had a session on the beach but I LOVED every minute!
